Men's Hockey Champions Trophy Melbourne 2012

Hockey Australia

The Men's Hockey Champions Trophy Melbourne 2012 was held at the State Netball Hockey Centre. Countries that participated included Australia, Belgium, England, India, Germany, Netherlands, New Zealand and Pakistan.

The first major international men's event after the London Olympic Games, the Hockey Champions Trophy 2012 provided spectators from all over the globe with the opportunity to watch the best teams in the world compete including the Olympic gold medal team (Germany) in action for the first time after success in London.

To ensure a successful outcome, Hockey Australia required the services of an organisation that understood how to run IT for a major sporting event.

Josh Givoni from Hockey Australia said “We were aware of AchieveIT's reputation and experience in providing IT support for major sporting events and we asked them to:

  1. Design and implement a network that supported our Media Centre and the Media Tribunes (in the grandstand)
  2. Manage the electrical contractor so that all electrical requirements within the Media Centre and Media Tribunes are met
  3. Setup printers within the Media Centre
  4. Provide IT support for members of the media during the event

The network implemented by AchieveIT worked exceptionally well during the event, with no major issues experienced. When IT support was required for the Media, it was provided in a professional and timely manner. We would have no hesitations in recommending AchieveIT to handle your event or provide your business with IT support. We will certainly be using them again in the future.”
